Copy To Ram Feature

I've been a fan of Ubuntu because of its similarities to Windows and its ease of use (updates, app installations).

If Ubuntu has one drawback, it's the lack of a copy to ram (toram) feature and I was wondering if there is another distro that is similar to Ubuntu that would have this feature?

Thank you

Greetingz!

By "copy to ram", you mean during boot-up, copy itself to a RAM disk so you can use your CD/DVD ROM drive?

Try knoppix. It's had a boot-time option ("toram") for the CD and DVD versions for a while now. A note of warning; the DVD used to want 4GB of free RAM, so you would have to have more than that (6GB or so) for that to work.....and boy does it take it's time.
