Any prog on posting that solution for Mandrake 10?
I'm trying to install it on a fresh Fedora 2 box, and the data-technics.net website is down.
I have the drivers for 2.6.x but I can't install them as they seem to look for directory routes which I dont have.

Also where can I get pppoa for Fedora2, I've got atm.h but it's in /usr/include/linux/atm.h. shouldnt it be in /usr/include/atm.h

I'm confused.

Hi, I'll have a look at it properly on Saturday or Sunday. It did come up with a few errors and I did recompile the kernel which took a while. It did work, but you can't see the ADSL green status lights in the system tray as you can on XP. As it doesn't necessarily connect immediately, it some time looks like a network error, but it will come up and running after a few page refreshes in Konqueror. Then there's getting things like Java and Macromedia Flash and Realplayer installed.

I used Mandrake 10.0 (3cd Download) Official Edition. I have all the drivers somewhere on drive too.

So I go fedup with trying to get this to work in Fedora 2 and downloaded Slackware 10... OMG it's nice.
Installl went well, phew setting problems with xserver, had to use Xorgconfig, for somereason XF86setup wasn't installed.

Anyway back to the adsl thing.

Linux-ATM-2.4.0 comiles and installs no trouble at all, but 2.4.1 trows error all over.
Now i've installed the atm, I now get the file /usr/include/atm.h

Next step to compile and install the pppoa kernel module.
This compiles ok (of sorts) but I cannot install it, It tries to create a /etc/rc.d/init.d/cnxadslcrl file.but comes up with :
cannont create regular file /etc/rc.d/init.d/cnxadslcrl.

Is this an init script? Are these stored elsewhere in slackware? I think if this goes in & I can load the module I could pronbaby get the rest to work.

Anyideas?

I just had a thought.. in the ref

http://patrick.spacesurfer.com/linux..._pci_adsl.html

he mentions to ensure you kernel supports

Kernel configuration section Description .config Define Status Kernels
Networking options Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) CONFIG_ATM On 2.4.*, 2.6.*
Network device support PPP (point-to-point protocol) support CONFIG_PPP On 2.4.*, 2.6.*
Network device support PPP over ATM CONFIG_PPPOATM On 2.4.*, 2.6.*

I realise that my ppp over atm is not on. Does this mean I have to rebuild the kernel?
..
.
.
Ok i went into /usr/src/linux/make menuconfig

and turned on PPP over Atm in the network options.

it says now you can make bzimage , make ????, or make install. Well make bzimage was command not found, skipped then next one and went for make install. its currently install. Hope this works.
