Sorry, can't help you with the ISO's, as I don't have 8.2 yet myself. Perhaps you could mow some lawns and EARN the money to purchase SuSE, thereby supporting the Linux initiative in some manner, instead of simply USING them?
In all seriousness, the primary reason I posted was to agree with you that the chameleon is the coolest logo I've yet seen for a distro. RedHat makes me think of Carmen Sandiego, and as for Tux, well, I still think Walter Lantz's Chilly Willy is the coolest penguin around.
I wish some skilled SuSE enthusiast would make a geeko chameleon with rolling eyes for the desktop.

Can someone (who has SuSE 8.2) kindly create ISO images and post a link somewhere here?
And there is a reason why people don't post links to Suse iso's, cause its against their terms and agreements. Suse doesn't wany anyone to give away iso's. You can either download it via FTP or go buy it, but do not ask anyone here to do something illegal for you.

Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that about Red Hat!!

Thanks
trickykid, had I known it was illegal i would not have asked for it. Also understand that SuSE CANNOT stop people form making ISos. After all SuSE is Linux, and it must follow gnu terms. stopping people from making ISOs and sharing them is like saying they own the rights to linux, which they don't exclusivey. Linux is a trademark of Linus Torvalds, NOT SuSE.
So again, had it been illegal or had i thought it was illegal I would not have asked for it.
Also, FYI links to SuSE ISOs have been posted on this very forum.
I don't understand your tone. I was as polite as I could be. I hope you consider my point of view on this.

I have looked into this carefully. It is not illegal to copy the SuSE disks, at least it wasn't for 7.3 and 8.0 I assume the same will be true for 8.2 the only stipulation in the EULA is that you don't redistribute the software for profit. As for me, I'm quite happy with the ftp version.

thanx carlywarly.
See, if anything this suggests that my assumption that it was OK to ask for ISOs wasn't necessarily "illegal".
