centOS linux questions

1: if i go to will i only need the top one to do a full install of centOS (CentOS-5.3-i386-LiveCD.iso) or will i need do download others also, as i can see the top one is a live cd which is what i want to download BUT i know most live cd's have the option to install from the desktop but i know centOS probably does but can someone just clarify that.

please do not say "download it and try it" because i will not be able to download until later when i am at my dads house because my mum get mental if i download to much.

ok, onto question 2: what is centOS actually based on, i have heard some say fedora and others say RHEL/Redhat so answer plz

3: under info in my BIOS Setup it says my cpu speed is "2600 +" i think i have 512 mb of ram and a 40gb hard drive, the laptop is an acer spire 1350
my question is, will centOS run well with these specs?

the live CD deosn't contain a lot of things
I think it is made so u can see the dist. and judge if it is suitable for u or not
I advice u to try the DVD it has all things on it

Centos is a compiled version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux

yes Centos will run very good on ur machine

don't worry and have fun
