CentOS 6.4 x86_64 skips initial installations steps and gets hung
Hello!
I am facing a weird issue while trying to install CentOS 6.4 x86_64... It happens that CentOS goes from the boot screen (installation step #1 as seen in http://bit.ly/14wLdAY ) up to choose the installation language (step #4 in the already mentioned webpage)... by default CentOS is loading the text-mode installer (when it should not be supposed to do so, because should prefer the graphical installer). I checked my CentOS ISOs (DVD, minimal, netinstall) and their checksums are valid, I even tried CentOS 6.3 x86_64 and the reported issue occurs. At boot screen I tried the "Install system with basic video driver" and the same problem happens. My PC is ASUS UEFI BIOS. Debian and openSUSE installers runs without trouble. I need to install CentOS 6.4 x86_64... Can you figure out the cause of my problem? Your advice will be highly appreciated. |

I solved this issue by upgrading the BIOS.
