In trying out Damn Small Linux, I like Fluxbox well enough, but I'm befuddled by DSL's file manager, and would rather have Konqueror. Do I have to have KDE to use Konqueror?
You need to have KDE installed, but you don't need to actually use KDE to run it's principle applications. If you are using FluxBox, all the required KDE libraries will load up when you execute a program that relies on them.
It does mean that it will take awhile for KDE programs to load though, and will obviously bloat things up a bit in terms of resource use.
