Calling all RedHat gurus...help needed....

Would one of you gurus please have mercy and give me a hand here. Perhaps someone could impart their wisdom into a numbered list telling me how to get my IPTables firewall working to the point that I can DCC send and chat thru it. Any help would be appreciated.

Your first point of reference is:

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/IP-Masquerade-HOWTO/

Specifically, you need to enable the ip_conntrack_irc module - modprobe ip_conntrack_irc is probably sufficient if you have a NAT gateway setup.

If you *don't* have a NAT gateway setup, my advice is for you to run dircproxy ( http://dircproxy.sourceforge.net/ ) on your firewall machine.
