Brief review of three distro's

I'm still looking for the perfect distro.
Have been running Xandros for a couple of months, it has done pretty well all I've asked EXCEPT for running my soundcard (Soundblaster Live 5.1).
So when Mandrake 10, Suse 9.0 and Fedora Core 1 hit the magazines, I gave them a try.

Mandrake 10 (2.6 kernel), immediately upon finishing install, a constant tone began emmiting from the speaker. I guess Mandrake doesn't recognise my soundcard either.

Next, Suse 9.0, installed nicely, looked great, but inside two minutes the display had locked. Reset was the only cure. Suse came with a desktop version and a server version, so I installed the server thinking maybe the first cd was corrupted. Na!, inside two minutes it had locked up again.

Next, Fedora core 1, pretty standard red hat install, once completed and as usual for red hat, had no access to the NTFS and FAT32 drives. I know that's fixable, but it's easier to reinstall Xandros than muck with the fstab file and patch red hat to read NTFS.

So for the moment I'm back with Xandros (and no SB live drive).
