Question Best Distro for Kindle Fire HD

Hi all,

At this time, the end of 2012, which distro is best suited (or preferably even optimised) for the latest Kindle Fire HD?

The heavily crippled version of Android that comes with this tablet-thingie as standard severely hobbles its capabilities, users overwhelmingly report.

Any suggestions for a flavor to make this thing sing?

Cheers,

CC.
