Associated Helper Application does not exist
 
Guys, whenever I am trying to download anything such as flash player from adobe I'm getting this message:

/tmp/install_flash_player_7_linux.tar-9.gz could not be opened, because the associated helper application down not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

I am new to Linux. Can someone help me with this message. Thanks.

find out the missing packages and then add them.

Are you asking for help to "Change the association in your preferences."?

If so, start by telling us your distro & desktop.
