applications + numlock

Hi all!
Two simple questions:
- how can I make numlock key to be enabled at startup (Red Hat 9 using GNOME)
- I have some problems with RH graphical installation tool: in fact, not all packages or applications included in the 3 cd's are listed in the tool window.
For exaple, I wanted to install Sylpheed: I tried, but the only way is to search for it in each RH cd's and perform installation manually.
Another example, I want to install WindowMaker, but I don't know how to do...: why can't I do it using a GUI? Are there WindowMaker packages? And in wich cd's?

I'm sure this problem affected every RH9 user...only a few apps can be installed from that tool...

Thanks.

on many systems, the numlock keys' initial value is set in the bios. (sorry, but I don't use Red Hat)
