Apache + PHP + MYsql distro

I'm after a distro that has apache + php + mysql all compiled together so they work fine and dandy.

I've toyed around for several weeks with redhat 7.1 but to no avail. Is there a distro which comes with all these fully functioning running and ready to go ???

the software I want to install is called PHP Helpdesk and the documentation is at http://phphelpdesk.sourceforge.net

It says all it requires is the above software but I cannot get it to work on many clean installs of the server version of RH 7.1 which i think doesnt come with Mysql.

I've tried installing mysql but have had various issues with it, so I'm just after a simple life...

I'd be very grateful if anyone has a distro to suit me :D

Cheers
Andy

Redhat 7 comes with all of these. You may need to do a custom install.

for mysql, include the datadumper, perl and dbi

I'm pretty sure any version of redhat comes with all the components. It doesn't, however, make it easy to set them up. I would highly recommend that you try Mandrake 8.1. Not only does it have a very easy install, if you select apache, php, and mysql, they will all be installed and working the first time you boot up. I don't know how you can beat that. If you want to stick with RedHat, you might want to try something I found on Freshmeat called Apache Toolbox. It is a script file that will download, compile , and configure apache, php, and mysql. As long as you don't pick any strange modules, it works great. It does help if you have a fast connection since it will probably download a few things.

ok cheers, I'm downloading mandrake as I type ....

Maybe redhat will do this but I didnt realise you had to select custom packages, the default server install installed PHP with no MYsql support etc which is a nightmare.

hopefully Mandrake will sort me out !

thanks everyone :)

php, mysql, apache

Im running Red Hat 7.2 and have all 3 working just fine. You do have to do a custom install and select the packages you want installed but after that it just works!
