Any distro good for photos-only external hd?

Hi all,

I recently through away my old laptop which broke, but kept its 40 GB hard drive as an external USB drive. My idea is to put all my photos in there, therefore using it as a portable digital photo album of sorts.
My question is:

Is there any sort of live-usb-type distro that I could install on the drive, but one that would be specific for photos? More like a program to organise photos into albums or smth like that, but one that would run as an equivalent of a live-usb distro?

This might sound a bit weird, but it would great! You could boot into it from any computer and show your photos to others!

Cheers,

Alex

You can give Tinycore Linux a try. It comes a bare minimal system and if you only install the photo application of your choice it would be perfect, I think.
