Adrian Bunk Retires From Debian

For any Debian users out there, Adrian Bunk has retired from Debian development.
Read it here: http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel.../msg02160.html

His reason in simple terms, he sees no progress in coming out with a new release in the future. Not good words I would think.

That sucks, less distro's to choose from. Unless debian has alot more people to cover up his retirement.

I am sure they have people to cover on what he did for Debian, but its not that, its his statment about how all of them as a whole he felt they were not getting anywhere near a new release for Debian. But based on that, that doesn't mean the end for Debian. It just might mean their next major release might not be around for awhile.

For what I can see, Debian is more an ever growing community than a simple GNU/Linux distro, I'm using (and loving) Sid, the "unstable" branch, more stable indeed than most of the distros out there...

I joined a few irc channels for help'n'tips and had a great support from a bunch of people, so everything suggests me that Deb will continue on its way no matter what Adrian Bunk say.
