Accessing Windows partitions in SuSE 9.1 personal?

Hello there,

I recently installed SuSE 9.1 on my maching using VMWare Workstation 4. The tool that enables us to use windows and any other OS on the same screen at the same time.

The Problems:
1. VMware Creates Virtual Machines. Due to which, it creates a virtual HDD. In my case it's "sda", the usual is "hda". now by default in My Computer from the Desktop, I am not able to mount the Windows partitions.
2. Not able to mount the CDRom too. However, it shows a CDROM Icon in my computer's Device tab.

Anyone out there knows what changes to make to fstab (or we have an alternative.). I don't want to install on HDD, by the old-school method of partitioning the HDD literally!!!

Does fdisk -l list only your Linux paritions. If so, then perhaps you could run windows at the same time and use sambe to access it as if it were another computer on the network. If this is possible it would have the advantage of begin able to transfer files from the linux partion to the Windows virtual machine giving you write access to the NTFS file system.
