Question about to setup duel boot xp/rh9

hello there. Very shortly I want to install rh9 on my machine to duel boot win my win xp. I have 40gb unpartioned on my hard drive and done this several times before when I was running win98, all with no problem. I have made myself a xp boot floppy, has anyone else got any tips out there - eg which bootloader (grub or lilo), or any other backup stuff as I still need xp (untill I can explain to the wife that linux is the way to go :-

I have dual boot RHL 9 and XP pro recently, it went without a hitch, the installation program "anaconda" takes you through the installation very well. Make sure you use the "manualy partition" option. I would recomend using the grub boot loader, recently, on another system running lilo I updated the kernel from Red Hats errata, next time I went to boot the machine it hung, it turned out that the update kernel scripts were written for the grub boot loader, it took me a while to get the machine back up online.

i would suggest partitioning the drive first with something like partition magic or system commander. i use sys commander 7 and it works great to run the dual boot and to partition my drives. if using something like sys commander then you have to make sure you put whatever boot loader (grub or lilo) on the first partition with linux on it and not the MBR, that will over write your sys commander boot record
