I suppose the Internet was connected as Root because in network connection only Root can be allowed. But I did it on the desktop menu "ADSL Connection". Therefore I'm not 100% sure whether Root or User.
Now on running following command to mount the partition as Root
# mount -o users /dev/xyz /mnt/xyz
I can download files from Internet to the mounted partition /dev/xyz.
But I'm still looking for a way starting Knoppix as Root not as User, if possible. So on terminal I can edit the files downloaded directly without "su" because the owner of some files being Root.
If I can boot Knoppix (I.m now using V.4, kernel 2.6.7) straight to runlevel 3 instead of runlevel 5. From there boot runlevel 5 after login as Root. Then I'll get connected to Root environmnet on runlevel 5. I'm not aware how to make it on Knoppix without a bootloader popup during booting . I'll search Internet later for suggestion, if any.

With your post count I am just advising others to be very careful of using a root connected system
I run Knoppix as host to build LFS --> BLFS. I need booting it to runlevel 5 as Root. Tks.
Further to my late posting I got my problem solved with cheatcodes.
During booting at command prompt, typed "knoppix 3" and entered. It booted straight to runlevel 3 as Root. Then from there I started runlevel 5 as Root.
