A little help with knoppix remastering please

Hello I wanted information regarding knoppix remastering - the problem is i am able to mount the CD and chroot too but the process of using apt-get to remove packages one by one seems too time consuming to me.

Is there any simpler way to remove all but essential packages from knoppix instead of selecting all the packages one by one?

I don't mind using any other live CD too as long as I can remaster easily.

thanks in advance

You could probably grab a minimal livecd like Puppy or similar and use a similar remastering technique.
