Unhappy [Void Linux]A distribution for me? Finally?

Ok, I've been distro hopping and with every distro I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread... only to find out it sucked in one particular aspect.

I've tried opensuse, fedora, gentoo, mint, solus, kaos, chakra and some more I forgot.

Currently I arrived at void linux. It's package manager is nice, really fast and I can handle myself on the command line. Runit seems ok too.

I don't have to bother with configuring a kernel and get a reasonably sane kernel by default. SystemD free; LibreSSL; Rolling release; a quality, sane and fast package manager; decent package repository too.

Still... are there any issues of potential concern?

I got VOID welcome to the VOID

I dual boot with VOID and Slack, or Slack and Void ( as I changed to slack as the main OS for awhile.)

Void is a rolling release, I have had no problems with Void other than the ones I caused.

if you didn't know they do have their own forum too. If you ever need to get a hold of ones that Void a lot or the developer. they got a chat too but I do not know it, it is googleable.

https://forum.voidlinux.eu/

Install full OS of Void Linux onto a USB Stick

Shameless Plug. I wrote the instructions.

Thumbs up HolyGrail found!!! Void should have own sub-forum.

Concerns? A LQsearch of quoted "void linux" turns up 205 posts (in 113 threads), mostly recommendations!!!

Note 17 'declared' users: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ll&field5=Void
And then there's DW (full pkg list includes sysdig That decides my vote)

How about getting a Void developer/maintainer to contact Jeremy offering ... (like cucumber just did, to get a LQ distro Void sub-forum) ? @BW? (irc: #voidlinux & #xbps)

p.s. Re subforum: a quarter of above-counted Void posts are in Slackware forum, fyi.

As the official Void forums (which, if I may repeat myself here, are awful to use) currently won't let anyone in - someone reported on the IRC that registration mails won't arrive which has since been confirmed by another IRC user -, I'd like to add my vote for a Void sub-forum here, knowing that the Void maintainers would have to agree first or, at least, Void would have to join the DW top-10.

could, maybe, sneak one in under the heading of '"completely empty" distros' as that is one definition of void.

Am wondering how to dual-install Void after distro installs other than Slack(uses LILO by default), e.g., Debian-based distros??
AFAICT, w/ a sufficiently large pre-existing /boot partition, GRUB2.x should allow multiple Void kernels on top of pre-existing distro kernels, right?

Like others, didn't find the Void forum all that helpful (which brought yours truly here), and the forum didn't seem all that Startpage -searchable.

Could end up being Trial-and-Error time on another testing system to find out what dual-boot method for Void works best
