[centos] starting browser

Hello?

In CentOS 5, starting web browser from the panel's icon
takes very long. But, doing the same browser from
applications > internet seems to be normal.

How can I troubleshoot this?

Thanks.

Firefox is always slow to start the first time you start it... if after you log in you start it from the panel first, close it, and then start it from the menu then it isn't a fair test.

After the first time it loads, starting it from the panel should be the same as starting it from the menu.
