XMMS crashes when file not found

I installed MP3 plugins from Gurulab.com and it installed n worked well but recently I counter an error that when I try to play a file in XMMS playlist that is removed from HDD XMMS get to crash instead of displaying an error that the file not found. Is this case same for all Linux Desktop packages that they prefer to crash in an Un-Coded situation?

I imagine that all applications crash in uncoded situations. This probably is catered for in the code though, but might be a bug between the plugin and XMMS.

Unfortunatly XMMS is no longer under development. Everyone who was using it seems to be switching to Audacious. I'm using it as of last night and it seems OK. It seems the same as XMMS really, but a bit prettier in places, and it might be worth your whlie trying it out.

At least if something doesn't work you can tell the developers about it.
