xauth: file/home/user/.serverauth.xxxx does not exist
I use the latest version of qubesos, a fedora-based distribution. After the modification of my DWM-Windowmanager I get following error, when I try to run it with startx:
xauth: file/home/user/.serverauth.xxxx does not exist
So I deleted all .serverauth-files as suggested here:
startx chooses a random number for .serverauth.* If it already exists it chooses a different number. What you report is startx reporting its success finding an available number. It happens every time you startx.
