x11perf performance drop when vesafb.ko loaded

Hi,
I just got a strange problem.
In order to make a boot splash, I loaded vesafb.ko by "modprobe vesafb" during the process of start.
After start x window, I run "x11perf -rect10", the output is as below:
800000 reps @ 0.0072 msec (138000.0/sec): 10x10 rectangle
800000 reps @ 0.0074 msec (135000.0/sec): 10x10 rectangle
But before I got 710000.0/sec without vesafb loaded.

So can anyone give me some suggestions? How to enable good performance with vesafb loaded? Thanks so much and in advance.
