X11 Xcursor theme without KDE/Gnome

Hi, I want to use comix cursor theme with X11. It works in KDE (since I configured it with kcontrol) but I don't use KDE at all. How can I use an Xcursor theme with simple WMs (I'm using ion)?

Take a look in your ~/.Xdefaults.

If it's not there you can create it. I put
Code:
Xcursor*theme: whiteglass
in there. Works fine. Still searching for a way to set its size though. Perhaps Xcursor*size or something like that..

Edit: Yes, "Xcursor*size: 20" seems to be about the default. I tried Xcursor*size: 50 and it gave me one helluva mouse cursor

Thank you! It works perfectly, I didn't now that I could use .Xdefaults for that (I'm using it for apps fonts or colors).

I had the same problem but the solution with .Xdefaults didn't work for me. I am using Gnome on OpenSuse 11.0 and I changed in the sysconfig (Yast2-> /etc/sysconfig Editor) the value in Desktop/X_MOUSE_CURSOR from default to the desired cursor theme, in my case from DMZ to Obsidian.
