X11/icewm configuration

I have a few pet-peaves with my current setup and was wondering how to fix 'em.

Currently I'm using icewm as my window manager.

First pet-peave:
When I startx it opens X with a command window. From there I have to type
Code:
icewm-session
to start icewm.
Once icewm starts it leaves that window open and I have to "hide" it to make it go away. I know there must be a something like an .xsession (or something similar) in my home directory to make it jump straight into icewm without that window hanging around.

I'll post more later if I can't figure them out.
Thank you.

In your home directory make a file called .xinitrc and in that file put the "icewm-session" command preceeded by "exec". So the file would look like

exec icewm-session
