Why won´t number keypad work in my user account?

This is an oddity. Keypad works fine on login screen and in root account. I can also create new users and it works fine there also. But in my user account I can't make it work. It worked fine when I last used it a week ago. Any ideas?

It might be permissions issue. my desktop wouldnt start one time because root owned my users home directory files. try...
chown -R <user> /home/<user>

or
Try to delete your user account and make a new one.

Side steps, doesn't it?

Creating a new user account does resolve the issue but it doesn't solve it! Everything else, and I DO mean everything, seems to work well. Is there a keyboard config file I haven't found yet? How can I fix this?
