Red face Still not perfect :P

Hmm after a while of observing my system I think something is not working 100 % fine.
As comparision I observed a PC at my office. It is as fast as I like it.Directories open faster and so on. I feel more power behind. Maybe because it has 16 GB instead of 8 GB and there is a big GPU inside (but ok Blender worked relativly ok here)?

Here now some experience with my current system:

Ubuntu began to crash (freeze) once a day since 3 weeks I think xD
Today I wanted to download Latex libraries and ubuntu froze totally xD
Needed to hard restart.

Here some more information about the current system:

Not sure if this is a trick question or not; you're somehow surprised that a system with double your RAM and a faster GPU can display things faster?? That's the entire point of having more memory and a faster GPU, isn't it??

What do you think we can tell you without any relevant info? Your problem description lacks anything in the way of details that would let anyone diagnose things. You also never answered how these SSD's were connected, or even tell us what version of Ubuntu, nor provide more details about your video setup.

Try after running fstrim: hdparm -t. It is typical to see quite a bit of variation among partitions on the same SSD:
Code:
# hdparm -t /dev/sda10 /dev/sda3

/dev/sda10:
 Timing buffered disk reads: 1148 MB in 3.00 seconds = 382.51 MB/sec

/dev/sda3:
 Timing buffered disk reads: 1200 MB in 2.58 seconds = 464.39 MB/sec

These are test results for read operations.
One SSD averages at 244MB/s, the other at 424MB/s.
Since these appear to be the same model, logic now dictates that you find out what is different about their setup.
Or compare the numbers to their spec sheet, and bring the one that diverges significantly back to the shop.

Yes of course it makes sense but the difference of speed isn't acceptable. I mean even my old Laptop with W10 boots faster than my PC. Something must be wrong.

The SSDs are connected with each a SATA cable.
I don't use Windows anymore (as a described before) so I changed my System:

My System is running now on a 480 GB SSD.

I made a speedtest: The result was that :

There is also one other hard disk inside but not in usage

Damn , yes I checked my USB today and also saw that it only checks the read-spead. But both a important...
Thank you. And yes I need to find out why the partitions behave different...

When you write a post there is a "Manage Attachments" button which allows 256KB worth of text/log files to be attached directly to the post.

This is better than multiple posts with long code blocks and third-party online clipboards that require logins.
