Which Linux to cell phone integration software to help develop?
Hello :)
Integration of cell phone and PIM is important to me. The only effective way I know to do this satisfactorily is nokia's PC Suite and that's a Windows-only application that needs Outlook so I run Windows XP in a VirtualBox virtual machine under ubuntu, only for PC Suite and Outlook (and printing but I can easily change printer). It would be great to do everything on Linux and drop both WXP and Outlook. I feel so strongly about this I'm prepared to spend time developing software to make it workable -- but which of the many Linux part-solutions should I best work on? My interest is in integration of a nokia 3110c (S40, 3rd edition) with Evolution. Best Charles |
Have you ever heard of BitPim? http://www.bitpim.org/ I've been using it for a while. I don't know what models it supports. I've had very good results with LG and Motorola phones.

Hello tekhead2 :)
Thanks for the heads up and good news that BitPim is working well for you. BitPim seems to support only phones based on the Qualcomm CDMA chipset: supported phones list. Best Charles |
