Question What packages does one need to run only fluxbox on linux distro

I had installed slackware 12.1 with all windows managers and finally decided that I only wanted to run fluxbox.. I reformated and chose the packages while installing... But when I got it all installed everytime I typed fluxbox on command line I recieved an error "couldnt connect to X server... So maybe I didnt install all the right packages to run only fluxbox... Any thoughts or suggestions

Fluxbox is working fine...

The problem is that you don't have the X Server running. You have a couple of choices here. You can type in:
$ xinit
and wait for the X server to start up. I should start up with no window manager and just a shell. Then type in:
$ fluxbox &
to start ups fluxbox. Or you can create a folder in you home directory called ".xinitrc" and add the line:
fluxbox &
to the end of it. Then type in
to start it up.
