It doesn't matter; sidux is a rolling release distro. You will end up with the same system whether you use the 2010 or 2009 installer. There are users on the sidux forums who have been using the same install for years.

If you are unclear what "rolling release" means, you should read up on it... it is a very important part of the sidux experience, and maybe not the right choice for all users: http://sidux.com/index.php?module=Wi...armwikiwelcome

If you want to tweak and experiment without the system trying to enforce package controls on you, you might want to try Slackware 13.1.
