Weird graphical behaviour and X crash/freeze.

Hi!
I'm using Fedora 10 on a laptop with Intel T3200 and GeForce 9300.

I use the 6.27.12-170.2.5.fc10.i686 kernel, the 180.25 nvdia driver. All fresh from the official repository.

Apart from that I use Gnome with Compiz Fusion.

Some time ago weird things started happening to my desktop. At some point the desktop freezes for a couple of seconds then I get everything scrambled, like here:
http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/7...shotwtfeb5.png

Sometimes even worse. Sometimes after that everything freezes I can't even kill X with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace...

Does anybody have an idea what is wrong and how can I fix this?

Thanks

Change your called driver in xorg.conf to vesa and comment out nvidia, see if that works. If it does, you probably have to replace the nvidia driver, maybe try to get your hands on an older one to see if that works better.
