Hi, I just got RHL 7.1 installed on my box (used to be Win7), but the text display is weird - it's big and vague.

But when I tried to go to Settings->Display, the only 'Resolution' available (and selected) is 800x600 (4:3), with 'Rotation' as 'Normal', so there is nothing I can change there.

Anyone get ideas?

It seems that you are using the wrong video driver. It is the generic VESA which does only 800x600. I am totally not acquainted with RHL so I can't tell why the correct video driver was not configured during installation. Or how to install a video driver in RHL.

You might want to follow up on this post providing information about your video hardware so others can help you. (Or check the RHL documentation of course)

If you don't know your video hardware, open a terminal and enter:
And post the line mentioning "video" or "vga"

You have an NVIDIA Quadro 2200 VGA adapter. When I google it, it seems to be a fairly recent adapter. Both HP and Lenovo have released drivers for RHL 7, and also very recently.

I can imagine they were not installed automatically.

Like I said before, I don't have any experience with RHL and cannot advise on how to install the driver. I hope anyone else on the forum is able to support.
