Void Linux xfce4-panel ricing to minimize space like ZevenOS/Haiku/BeOS.

I would like to make the xfce4-panel on my Void Linux install similar to the ZevenOS/Haiku/BeOS feather panel, to take up less screen real estate. I don't want to create a complete theme, just modify the xfce4-panel. Not sure how to go about it, as Void Linux doesn't appear to have xfce4-goodies and other xfce4 bits included in other distros...

To be clear, I would like to create a xfce4-panel look similar to this:

https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=zevenos

https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=haiku
