vncviewer type remote app.
 

Suppose I use vncviewer for some remote computer than it works only if I am logged in to that computer. Is there a software which works on windows and lets me access my linux machine far away where I am not logged on.(GUI not something like ssh)

you don't have to be logged in to the destination to use vncviewer..

Regardless however, the free (as in beer) edition of NoMachine's NX Server is much better than VNC. ...not FOSS though.
