VLC stopped working

I'm using FC6 and a while ago, PUP updated some packages. I think I saw FFMPEG there. After the update, VLC won't work anymore.

I get this:

vlc: error while loading shared libraries: libpostproc.so.51: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The file can still be found in the system:

/usr/lib/libpostproc.so.51
/usr/lib/libpostproc.so.51.1.0

What directory does VLC look in for the libraries?

Or is that even the problem?

Update: Just found out Flash 9 isn't working too. I think the updated ffmpeg is broken or wasn't installed properly.

Run:

ldd /path/to/vlc

Should tell you what libraries it needs. You can find the path to vlc by typing:

which vlc

I don't have vlc installed right now, but on xmms the output will be something like:

blah:/usr/src# ldd /usr/bin/xmms
libgtk-1.2.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgtk-1.2.so.0 (0x4002d000)
libgdk-1.2.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgdk-1.2.so.0 (0x40160000)
libgmodule-1.2.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgmodule-1.2.so.0 (0x40196000)

And will go on.

Any ideas?
