VLC stopped working

I'm using FC6 and a while ago, PUP updated some packages. I think I saw FFMPEG there. After the update, VLC won't work anymore.

I get this:
vlc: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The file can still be found in the system:
What directory does VLC look in for the libraries?

Or is that even the problem?

Update: Just found out Flash 9 isn't working too. I think the updated ffmpeg is broken or wasn't installed properly.

ldd /path/to/vlc

Should tell you what libraries it needs. You can find the path to vlc by typing:

which vlc

I don't have vlc installed right now, but on xmms the output will be something like:

blah:/usr/src# ldd /usr/bin/xmms => /usr/lib/ (0x4002d000) => /usr/lib/ (0x40160000) => /usr/lib/ (0x40196000)

And will go on.
