usb audio issue
Hi, I had issues installing the integrated audio drivers for my my motherboard. It needs an AC97 driver, I guess. I downloaded the drivers from realtec I think it was. To make a long story short, I wasn't able to get them to work. So I've been using USB speakers, which I like quite a bit. My problem is that Firefox won't use them. A few other applications won't use them either. VLC for one, while amorak sounds just fine. I can't listen to any flash either, maybe just because it's browser based. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? I'm running Kubuntu-Edgy, if that matters. I've looked through the firefox options, and found nothing. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? I also wouldn't mind figuring out the AC97 audio problem, if for nothing else than using a microphone with skype. I had a problem with dapper and the integrated ethernet, but the driver was included with Edgy, so maybe Fawn will have the drivers included to solve this for me. I have this tweaked just how I like it finally, and don't really want to go through all the hassle of upgrading for another 6 months or so, when I figure I'll have to. Anyway, any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks much...
David
