Thumbs down upgrade to 10.04 has my computer randomly blanking out and freezing

I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but ever since I upgraded to kubuntu 10.04 using a fresh install randomly my monitors blank out and freeze forcing me to hard reset. I think the time span is approx every couple days that it does this.

I also have experienced kubuntu not saving my display settings, I have a dual monitor and for some reason it reverts the settings back to how it was before each time, tried another re-install and nothing changed.

If you have the screensaver enabled, try disabling it in System>Preferences>Screensaver. I had similar problems with 10.04, 64bit and disabling the screensaver seems to have cured the problem.
