Uninstall KDE

I have an Slackware and few days ago I install the XFCE desktop.
It works fine an now i am thinking to remove KDE (my old desktop).
The question is, is it a good idea? If i remove KDE, I must to uninstall all the applications of kde (like k3b, konkeror, konsole, etc).

Thanks all!

You shouldn't need to uninstall all of your applications, only the desktop part of KDE.

I'll use K3B as an example. As long as you leave everything K3B depends on, (libqt3, etc), you can still use the application. K3B doesn't depend on the desktop libraries KDE has.

Right now, I use K3B and kdevelop from a gnome desktop.

well from what i think you i s that you should not uninstall anything just leve it how it is it should be fine because if you have KDE then you can use both desktop KDE an XFCE. So that is what i think an i think you should stick with it because sometimes when you are try to remove you default desktop it may cause cause problem. an my friend he did that an he screwed up his whole computer. so it is your chose.
