Undo wrong XFCE user setting?

I have xfce on a RazPi and it's overscsanning badly, with all rthe edges offscreen. I tried to see if I could scale it back under

Settings / Display / Scale [Set Custom Value] then Apply / Keep New Setting & restart X to be sure.

This setup did not behave as expected. Every increment showed me a little more of the task bar, then it broke, and I only had a view of the top left ¼ of the screen, so I can't apply changes, or drag anything onscreen that's currently off it. Other users have a normal setup.

Can I simply delete the offending config file to return to the defaults?
What config file?

TIA

I figured losing the settings wasn't catastrophic, s this sorted it.
Code:
rm -rf |/.config/xfce4
