unable to install lagadesk themes collection

hi everybody i have downloaded lagadesk themes collection it has tar.bz2 extention i tried to install it by extracting and copying folder to .themes folder but it doesnt show up in the themes why????? i dont know please for a solution

KDE ?
XFCE ?
LXDE ?

and what desktop manager is this for ?

also you CAN NOT use a Gnome2 theme on Gnome3
nor can you use a kde3 theme on kde4

and where did you get this file ?
please post the link to it

ya it is gtk and is a theme but it's extension is tar.bz2 i know how to install tar.bz2 files but this one got no readme or install file which is necessary for compilation , i think its a gnome2 theme and i am on ubuntu 13.10 which is gnome 3 is installed here is the link http://lagadesk.deviantart.com/art/L...tion-189320375

a OLD gnome2 theme can not be installed on gnome3

if you REALLY want the gnome 2 theme
then install the Gnome2 DE
on a OS that is still using Gnome2
RHEL 5.10 or RHEL 6.5

if you want the " use at your own risk" deviantart themes use the "gnome shell" ones for Gnome3

but i would use the ones you can get from using the built in tool
it grabs the compatible ones from gnome-look
