I'm not sure how long Ubuntu keeps it's repositories open. Debian typically will retire repositories and quit giving security updates to packages once it gets a new Stable release. But when I look online, it looks like you can still access packages. So feel free to give it a shot...

I think the trick is to make sure that your sources.list file has just breezy in it. And then make sure you don't do what they call a dist-upgrade (distribution upgrade), which is typically used to move to the next version of Ubuntu.
