Ubuntu with Beryl and Emerald Problems

Ok, here's the deal. I installed Beryl and Emerald, and I can't get the cool effects going. When I try to use Emerald, I get no window borders. How can I use Emerald as the window decorator and get Beryl working properly. I gotta have the cool cube thing!

Hi edo,

I had the same problem..
I run debian etch 4.0..

When I installed beryl I also had no borders...
I added "beryl-manager" to the gnome autostart and after a restart everything worked perfectly...

I've done that but still beryl doesn't do any effects and emerald doesn't show the borders.
