Ubuntu Unity doesn't start.
 
I have a computer that i have installed ubuntu on it, but i couldn't go into the desktop enviorment, how can i start the Unity DE from the CLI?

command 'startx'

What about telinit 5 .

I dont understand. Do you wish to get into unity desktop or do you have no Gui at all? Does not startx work for you? Dont worry about telinit 5. it is already the default option. Just type startx and if your hardware meets the requirements, unity will start-up or it will inform you and switch back to gnome de. If so, try unity-2d. it should work on most hardware.

If you cant start de using startx, fall back to single user mode by typing telinit S(the alphabet) and then execute startx.
