Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS - starting second xsession fail

I try to start second xsession on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. I switch to tty3: ctrl + alt + F3 then execute the following commands:

Code:
export DISPLAY=:2
startx -- :2
but it fails. Logs. What is wrong ?
The same method works fine on Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS.

For me it's sufficient with xserver-xorg-legacy installed, Intel GPU and FOSS Intel X driver on 18.04.1 using TDE sessions to do only 'startx -- :2' (omit 'export DISPLAY=:2'):
Code:
# grep RETT /etc/os-release
PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS"
# ps -A | grep init
  692 ? 00:00:00 tdeinit
  992 ? 00:00:00 start_tdeinit
  993 ? 00:00:00 tdeinit
 1013 ? 00:00:00 tdeinit_phase1
 1159 tty3 00:00:00 xinit
 1255 tty3 00:00:00 start_tdeinit
 1256 ? 00:00:00 tdeinit
 1265 tty3 00:00:00 tdeinit_phase1
Do you have xserver-xorg-legacy installed? If neither suggestion works for you, maybe you can make it work by replacing GDM with a different display manager (login greeter): lightdm, sddm or tdm.

Yes, I have xserver-xorg-legacy installed. I have thought that when I use startx or xinit a display manager is omitted. How does it work ?

Which "it"? Does
Code:
apt show xserver-xorg-legacy
answer your question?

Which "it"
I have wondered how a display manager may be related to that issue.

I switched to lightdm and I still can't run second xsession.
