Titlebars are missing.

I am using Ubuntu 7.04 on an Acer notebook and a couple days ago my titlebars on every window I open disappeared. This happens no matter if I am using Compiz or not or if I use AWN or not. This makes it somewhat difficult to minimize, maximize, shade, move or resize the window. I don't think that I made any changes in my desktop at that time so this is quite puzzling.

Any assistance it greatly appreciated.

What happens in a terminal you;
sudo metacity

CompRookie2000: Thanks for the reply. I did a "sudo metacity" and got a window manager message saying that this display already had a window manager running so try "--replace". So I figured I'd do a "compiz --replace" and everything is back in place.
