title fonts in kde apps and firefox impossible to read.

I realize this may not be the right forum for these questions but I have tried kde forum and firefox forum without success.
I refer to the fonts that are used for drop-down menus, tab headers and other app titles are absurdly small at 1024x768 and not much improved at 800x600.
Can someone point me to where these fonts can be managed or do I just have to suck it up.

Thanks for any help.
