Outlook under Linux? Not a good idea in my book. Try some of the other email clients instead. KDE and Gnome have both got quiet good default clients (Evolution in Gnome, not sure what the KDE one is called).

If you still want to try Outlook, search on Google for "outlook wine" and see if anyone have made it work first.

A free windows program to convert from mbox to eml is ImapSize. Here is a tutorial from their site: http://www.broobles.com/imapsize/th2outlook.php. Take in mind that every folder in Thunderbird correspond to a plain text file (mbox format) together with the corresponding index file (.msf). So the Inbox folder is made of:
Code:
Inbox
Inbox.msf
