thunar connection to smb not working

Recently I switched from Ubuntu 6.06.1 to Xubuntu. For the most part, I like this interface, but with one exeption. In the Thunar file browser, I cannot get access to smb connections. With previous file browsers I've used in Linux, I've just been able to type smb://192.168.0.100 to access windows shares. With Thunar, I am not able to do this. As an alternative I have installed the KDE browser for access to smb shares. Does anyone know of a way to do this from within Thunar? Thanks for your help.
