Third Party Software?
 

Is there any software for windows and linux that allows me to view and use the HDD with the other OS on it. For example, i cant see my windows drive in linux and my linux drive in windows. any help?

i want to use both drives in both OS of course, i dont want Linux to have my 200gb all for itself ;)

you don't need anythign to do this on linux, you just need to configure it correctly. search this site for ntfs and fstab and i'm sure you'll find plenty of useful threads to help you view ntfs partitions under linux. as for the other way round, there are things like total commander, but i'd never touch them personally.

The general advice is use fat32 if you want to read/write to the drive in Windows and Linux. It's also possible to read(possibly write) to ext2/3 from Windows if you install a program for it(name escapes me at the moment.)

Recently though, it's become possible to do fairly reliable NTFS read/write, but it takes a little effort and some editing of system files (no more than 5 minutes though).
