hi guys !

so i am relatively new with linux and i am running linux mint for a month or so now
and i really love it and do not see a reason to go back to windows.

however there is one thing i cannot figure out, i am NOT able to set either maximum or minimum brightness
on my laptop !

when i use the FN + POS1 key (which is brightness up in my euro keyboard) it goes up to
where the bar should symbolise max however it isnt as bright as it was in windows
and if i hit the button again for a supershort period of time it gets to maximum brightness
and instantly steps down again one step. so i cannot set maximum brightness
and the same with minimum, it goes down till the little box shows the meter to disappear
however i can press FN + END (brightness down) and it blinks darker just to get brighter again.

what is this and how can i fix it ? i really would want my max brightness to be MAX and not just one step below !
